1. Journey to 30: Beginning

Welcome to the end of my 20’s and the beginning of my 30’s!

👋 Welcome

It has been 4 months and 8 days since I celebrated my 29th birthday. The last days of 2023 along with the first 8 months of 2024 will conclude my 20s. I’ve learned. experienced and accomplished many things through the years, while also having many goals pending.

How would I share the culmination of my 20s?

I enjoy writing but haven’t written in a long time so writing a blog was a good option. I’ve also considered a party. I’m not big on festivities, so that was out of the question as quickly as the thought popped into my head.

How about a podcast? I do enjoy audio and have been speaking with my brothers for an hour every week, for over a year now. Doing a podcast would still require writing a script and ideas of what to share (you can see where I’m leaning toward).

I also considered doing videos! My favorite part of creating videos has been editing, but I also that takes a lot of time.

✍️ BLOG

This ‘Journey to 30’ blog is my way of sharing my experiences, fulfilling my writing goal, and celebrating my 30th birthday. The goal is to write 30 blogs in which I share things I am going through, such as dealing with Invisalign and getting comfortable living in a new city.

This first blog is the beginning of that goal, with 29 blogs left to write, of which the 30th blog will be shared on my birthday, August 22nd! Everything is a process so I look forward to seeing my writing improve as well.

I do not have a set schedule for when I will publish but since we have about 34 weeks until the end of August 2024, it will be close to a blog a week. I presume some weeks I will publish more than one blog, while other weeks I will not publish any blogs, but rest assured they are being written!

Welcome to the final months of my 20s. It feels bittersweet as I write but it’s a testament, thanks to God, of all I’ve experienced, learned and accomplished. With so much more to come.
